Description
Durabond GT – Flex Tile Grout is a flexible, cement based, plasticised grout for the grouting of ceramic floor tiles. It is suitable for grouting joints from 3 – 15mm in width. Durabond GT – Flex Tile Grout can also be used on walls where a wide joint is required and can be used in both internal and external locations. It is resistant to frost and extremes of temperature.
Preparation
Joints should be free from dust, dirt, oil, grease and any other contaminants before grouting. Clean the surface with a damp sponge before application.
Mixing Instructions
Add Durabond GT – Flex Tile Grout to water in a clean bucket. Stir and mix thoroughly to give a consistent, slump free and easily trowelled mortar. Mixing proportions are as follows:
- Approximately 5 parts Durabond GT – Floor powder to 1 part water.
- A 10kg bag requires approximately 2 litres of water.
- The grout has a pot life of 1 hour 30 minutes and a working time of 20 minutes under normal conditions.
Using a rubber squeegee apply the grout to the surface, taking care to work the grout well into the joints. Work in criss cross fashion, moving the squeegee firmly and diagonally in relation to the joint lines. Remove any excess grout. After the grout has started to set clean the surface with a damp sponge. When it has completely hardened any residues can be removed with a dry cloth. Apply at temperatures above 5ºC.

Coverage will depend on tile size and joint width & depth.
Storage Conditions
Durabond GT – Flex has a shelf life of 12 months if stored in dry conditions and in the original bags.
