
Super Filler - Cartridge
Description
Durabond Super Filler is a clean fast curing, permanently flexible and easily applied high performance sealant with good adhesion to most building materials. An aqueous emulsion based product which outperforms conventional oil based mastic when used in joint sealing applications. Surplus material can be easily removed using a damp cloth. Typical Uses
- Exterior and interior sealing of doors and window frames
- Durabond Super Filler can be over painted
- Interior sealing of skirting boards, architraves, plaster & polystyrene covering etc.
- Shower & bath sealant - contains fungicide
- Filling cracks in plaster and wood
- Sealing around fitted furniture

Application
Durabond Super Filler is supplied ready to use. It is easily extruded and being thixotropic can be applied to vertical and overhead joints. Surface should be dry, clean, grease and dust free and if possible preparation should be done immediately prior to sealant application. Remove any bituminous materials or oil based mastics which can cause staining of lighter coloured sealants.
Apply using and even pressure on the gun in a continuous bead ahead of the nozzle to ensure complete filling of the joint. Deep joints should be packed with polyethylene foam backing strip. Smooth if required with a wet spatula. Remove excess product with a damp cloth.
Limitations
In common with similar products, Durabond Super Filler is not suitable for
- Joints continuously immersed in water
- In areas of high abrasion or other physical attack e.g. Floor joints
- In contact with bituminous product
Shelf life in original unopened containers - 12 months if stored between 5 - 25ºC
